God help anyone who expresses concern for the other side. If children from a terrorist's family are killed, that's to be either ignored or taken as something to celebrate.
Too many issues often unconnected. What u write is correct. But right now we have to focus on the war and against terror.
This is not a justification for sad events of the past. But as a nation we often dilute our focus by getting overwhelmed by incidents which have little bearing on the current crisis we are facing.
Of course we need to combat terror. And we need to support our national effort. But support must never be unquestioning - our duty as thinking citizens must always be to question.
Defending borders is important because the definition of a nation comes from defining a border. What happened in Phelgam was an attack on the nation, assuming the terrorists were Pakistan bank ruled. May 7 was defending the border.
About the lynching, covid - outage is a tiring thing to maintain and sustain. So, the media and the government choose what we should be outraged about. They chose not to fan outrage about the lynching and covid deaths. And we led our merry Netflix-filled lives.
